YMCA of Greater Boston – COVID Vaccination

Our YMCA Greater Boston Team was working to increase access to Covid educational resources and vaccines in their community. The team had success teaching younger kids about the virus through tabling and outreach sessions, yet they were starting to see the same people and their reach started to level off. At our January ‘23 Brainstorming Summit they gained new ideas from other teams, and developed a new strategy: pivoting to other social determinants of health (education, mental health), and providing new information while weaving in Covid information. Within several weeks they reached 700 new people with an additional 250 getting vaccinated.
